11 hour bus ride to Mexico: $50....Jim Bird in Mexico: PRICELESS!

Well, my dad and I made it safely to Mexico approx. 26 hours after our departure! As soon as we got to the station, the van pulled up and out jumped Carla and all the girls to greet us! Dad did very well.....it took him all week to learn everyone's names, and almost never did he pronounce anything right, but he tried so hard and did very well! He helped out alot, and ALWAYS volunteered me to do stuff, even though I already had stuff to do...shocking! I will write more later, but for now here's a pic of Dad and I with all of Carla's family in front of their house in Tesia, where we have church every Sunday morning!( The bigger lady in the black shirt is Carla's mom, she's awesome, and then Carla's in front of me holding her new 8 day old nephew!) I wish you all could have seen JIm Bird so out of his element down here, it was definitely a new experience for both of us! He had a good time, and I'm so proud of him for coming and making that horrible trip with me! I'm so thankful for such a loving, caring dad like him!

Jim Bird's going to Mexico!

Yes, that's right! My dad is going back with me to Mexico! We leave tomorrow morning (saturday) and will get there around 9 am Sunday morning. I haven't even finished packing, because once I finish, that means I actually have to go back.....although I'm really excited to see everyone down there and I've missed it, I'm not completely ready to leave home. I've been spoiled so much the past 5 weeks getting to call all my friends and family and travel to see everyone and take a hot shower for longer than 5 minutes, and the best thing....use the freakin dishwasher! haha
I'll hopefully be updating on this blog pretty frequently so y'all can just come on here and read my posts instead of being annoyed by my emails that are too long with too many questions! So.....please check my blog and write me stuff, and I'll do the same for y'all! I had SO much fun hanging out and seeing all of you and I can't even begin to write down in words how much all of you mean to me! I love y'all!!
